We are a distributed team built on top talent from over 10 states across the U.S. While we have an office in NYC, we support employees creating "offices" wherever they are. We believe in fostering team connection and collaboration across all of our "offices" - so don't expect to be online at 6 am to make a meeting if you're on the West coast. What You'll Do

We're looking for a Fullstack Software Engineer who is excited to play an integral role in our rapidly growing Technology team. This individual will be responsible for building and maintaining fullstack web applications for internal users across the company. These internal applications cover but are not limited to inventory management, order/payment processing, customer/order management, admin dashboards, third-party vendor technology integration, etc. A successful Fullstack Software Engineer will work closely with the operations team, as well as other teams for cross-functional projects. This person must take pride in code quality, best practices, performance, is someone who is excited about new technology and performant software. How You'll Make an Impact

• Contribute high quality code to mission-critical services that power our internal operations, including but are not limited to operations, marketing, and finance. Always be on the lookout for performance bottlenecks, security risks, and maintenance overhead. And work with other team members to improve these systems to make them more robust.
• Build performant, intuitive, and fault tolerant user interfaces for internal admin users
• Understand the technical landscape and challenges inside your immediate team, stay curious and be a quick learner of our systems/services/tools, as well as business and terminology.
• Follow good engineering practices by accompanying your code with tests, clear documentations (or other forms of written communications), and thorough code reviews for others.
• Timely troubleshoot/debug issues in our internal systems, provide clear analysis, and work with other stakeholders to come up with preventative measures in the future

Why We Need You

• 3-5 yrs of commercial software development experience.
• 2+ years of experience with a modern frontend framework (React/Angular/Vue), preferably React
• 1+ yrs of experience using Python/Django and the wider ecosystem as the primary day-to-day env (or something similar like Ruby/Rails)
• 1+ yrs of relational SQL experience.
• Proficient in JavaScript and React.js
• Familiar with Python or a similar modern backend language like Ruby
• Comfortable writing SQL queries and practical knowledge about relational databases.
• Proficient in debugging and troubleshooting, especially when it comes to client/server communications when building single page web apps
• Excellent grasp of computer science concepts, common design patterns
• Clear written documentation and technical communication
